Manage and approach the latest development of industry trends efficiently
What do we think the biggest industry trends are going to be in the remainder of 2021?
The great acceleration in the use of technology, digitisation, and new forms of working are going to be sustained and remain to sit at number one. A McKinsey study shares that executives reported moving 20 to 25 times faster than they thought possible on things like building supply-chain redundancies, improving data security, and increasing the use of advanced technologies in operations. Will this long term productivity last?

How to overcome the Hospitality staffing shortage
Hospitality is under threat as we emerge from the pandemic and the industry faces huge difficulty in recruiting staff to fit their demands. The perception of working in hospitality has never been positive so how do we create an environment where people want to work in it and overcome this staff shortage?
This leads to the idea that these current staff shortages are not a talent crisis but a brand identity crisis. Attitudes towards working with restaurant and bar chains have always been negatively conceived and the need to rid this stigma is crucial to save businesses and operations.

One Year of COVID: How Restaurants Have Survived and What the Future of the Industry Looks Like
Anyone who has worked in the restaurant industry will tell you there’s no such thing as a “typical” day in the business and the past year has amplified that sentiment. While restaurant owners and operators across the country have hustled and pivoted this past year to stay afloat, there are some promising trends that show better and more profitable days ahead for the industry.
While there have only been a handful of days this past year where restaurant sales averages have jumped above pre-pandemic numbers, namely New Year’s Eve, restaurateurs have been able to steadily grow overall sales from that initial two-week dip when pandemic restrictions were first implemented.

UK economy set to grow at fastest rate in more than 70 years
The UK economy will enjoy its fastest growth in more than 70 years in 2021 as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, according to the Bank of England.
The economy is expected to expand by 7.25% this year, with extra government spending helping to limit job losses. However, it follows a contraction of 9.9% in 2020, the biggest in 300 years.
Andrew Bailey, the governor of the Bank of England, said the recovery was "strong" but likened it to "more of a bounce back" than a boom.
He added that the surge in growth, while "good news", would only return the UK economy back to its 2019 size.
Mr Bailey told the BBC: "We're going to see a continued strong recovery this year, but let's put that into perspective.
